The safety record
Our safety record is a packet, not a slogan.
We don't print a number here. The packet goes with each bid, and each document says the year it covers.
In the packet
OSHA 300A annual summaries
The last three years, signed by an officer.
Experience modification rate letter
From our workers' compensation insurer, for the current year.
Certificate of insurance
General liability and workers' compensation, with limits in numbers.
Written safety program
Hazard communication, lockout, powered equipment and incident reporting.
Operator training records
One for each machine and each person who runs it on your floor.
Safety data sheets
For every product we bring to your site.
Insurance
General liability insurance
$2M per occurrence, $4M aggregate
Covers damage to your floors, racking and equipment while we work. The certificate comes with the bid.
Workers' compensation insurance
Covers our crew on your property. A certificate comes with the general liability one.
On your floor
Rules the crew follows on your floor.
Your site's rules come first. Ours fill the gaps.
Forklifts have the right of way
We cone the lane, use a spotter at crossings and stay out of lanes you mark no-go.
We don't touch your machines
Your team locks out and opens the machine. We clean the floor around it and never reach inside the guarding.
Air gets watched
Battery machines indoors. A propane burnisher runs only with your approval, the doors open and a carbon monoxide monitor on.
Wet floors are signed
Sign stands and cones at every wet lane, and a check that the lane is dry before it reopens.
Hearing and eye protection
Worn at the machines that call for it, and whatever your site posts for the area.
An orientation before the first shift
Every person on your floor has taken your site orientation: exits, assembly point, badge and gate rules.
If something happens
What we do if there is an incident.
- 01
Step 1: Stop work and make the area safe
The lead stops the crew, cones the area and gets help for anyone hurt.
- 02
Step 2: Call your site contact
The night supervisor calls your contact right away, then the office.
- 03
Step 3: Write it down the same shift
The lead writes what happened while it's fresh and signs it.
- 04
Step 4: Send you the report
You get the written report from the office by the end of the next business day, and what we changed because of it.
Ask for the packet with your bid.
Say in the request which documents your corporate office wants, and we'll add them.
